Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Orin Matcha Tea.
We care deeply about product quality and customer satisfaction. This Refund & Return Policy explains when and how you can request a refund, replacement, or return for your order.

1. Eligibility for Refunds & Returns

You may request a refund or replacement if:

  • You received a damaged, defective, or opened product.

  • You received the wrong item.

  • The package was lost or never delivered.

Due to the nature of food and beverage products, we cannot accept returns for items that have been opened, used, or partially consumed, except in cases of quality defects.

2. Timeframe for Requests

To ensure a smooth process, all refund or replacement requests must be submitted within:

  • 48 hours after receiving your order, or

  • 48 hours after the expected delivery date if the package was not delivered.

Requests submitted after the stated timeframe may not be eligible.

3. Non-Returnable Items

For health and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned:

  • Opened or used matcha tea products

  • Accessories that show signs of use

  • Items purchased during clearance or “final sale” promotions

  • Gift cards or digital items

4. Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders

Since we operate with Cash on Delivery:

  • Refunds for eligible orders will be issued as:

    • Bank transfer, or

    • Credit toward your next purchase (store credit)

We do not offer cash refunds at delivery.

5. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours

  2. Provide your order number

  3. Share clear photos or videos showing the issue

Once confirmed, we will:

  • Send a free replacement, or

  • Issue a refund according to your preference

No return shipping is required for damaged or incorrect items.

6. Return Shipping Costs

  • If the return is due to an error on our side (incorrect item, damaged product), we cover all shipping costs.

  • If the return request is due to a change of mind or customer error, the customer is responsible for return shipping, and the item must remain unopened and unused.

7. Order Cancellations

You may cancel your order before it is shipped at no cost.

Once the order has been dispatched:

  • Cancellation may not be possible

  • Delivery and return fees (if any) may apply

8. Missing Refunds

If you are expecting a refund and have not received it within 7 business days, please:

  • Check your bank account

  • Contact your bank for pending transactions

  • Reach out to our support team for confirmation

9. Exchanges

We offer exchanges only for:

  • Wrong items shipped

  • Defective products

Exchanges are not available for preference-based reasons (taste, preference for a different grade, etc.)
